Hi, I’m Madelayne the heart behind Memory Layne Photo Co.

This business was born during my maternity leave, but in many ways, it started long before that.

I’ve always loved paging through old family albums and organizing my own photos of friends, family, and honestly… an excessive number of cat photos. Some of my favourite memories growing up were sitting down and flipping through albums filled with stories, people and moments that would have otherwise been forgotten. When I became a mom myself, I knew I wanted my daughter to have that too.

During my maternity leave, I brought home six massive Rubbermaid bins from my dad’s house filled with thousands of family photos dating back to the 1930s. For months, I sorted, organized, and preserved decades of memories — photos that had been sitting untouched for years.

Somewhere in the middle of that process, I realized just how important printed photographs really are.

At the same time, I had started organizing and printing photos from my daughter’s life and creating albums for her. I was shocked by how many people reached out to me saying things like, “My child is 11, 12, 13 years old and asking to see their baby photos… and I don’t have anything printed.”

We take more photos than ever before, but so many of them end up buried in camera rolls, old phones, cloud storage, and hard drives — never printed, never organized, and rarely looked at again. That’s when I realized I could turn something I genuinely love into a way to help other families preserve the moments that matter most.

Memory Layne Photo Co. was created to help families organize, protect, and reconnect with their memories whether through digital photo organization, printed photo sorting or keepsake albums. I know how personal these photos are, and I handle every collection with the same care and attention I would give my own family memories.
